ALn663 1198 Vernante

Vernante (CN) is the birthplace of Attilio Mussino, who illustrated the book celebrating the 30th anniversary of the publication of Pinocchio, Collodi's fable that everyone knows. Many Pinocchio murals line the village streets, and a charming drawing decorates the facade of the station building. ALn663 1198 is photographed standing in a crossing loop, working a Cuneo-Ventimiglia regional train, on 8 February 2009, during my "farewell" to the CLC.
