Description
Overnight express from Rome Termini to Lecce via Metaponto - Taranto - Brindisi, photographed here a few kilometres from its final destination, headed by a D445, no. 1016. At that time diesel traction was still regularly rostered on this pair of expresses from Taranto to Lecce, although the line was entirely electrified.
