Here is what I find a difficult photo to take. The railway line between Castiglione Cosentino and Roseto di Capo Spulico (I didn't go beyond that) is entirely under overhead line renewal, 100 km of "double pole" with the LS masts placed halfway between the existing ones. The SS 534, which runs alongside the railway between Sibari and Cassano allo Ionio, has been completely torn up for dualling works, and local roads are completely disrupted, with no signposting for alternative routes, which have to be worked out by instinct (when it isn't necessary to enter the construction site just to get through!). In short, a disaster: of the 6 photo spots I had studied at home, only one remained decently photographable in the end, and having brought the 10-18mm with me proved very useful for a wider framing of the (splendidly!) clean E652 037 with the wine freight from Palermo Brancaccio to Faenza (if I remember correctly...)
Photographed on 27/07/2016 at Cassano all'Ionio (Province of Cosenza, Region of Calabria, Italy).
