Class66 431 Teisendorf

Class 66 diesel locomotive 266 431-6 at the rear of a freight train carrying waste for the ZAS (Zweckverband Abfallverwertung Südostbayern), photographed near Teisendorf on the Rosenheim–Salzburg line, KBS 951. The train is bound for Freilassing, where the traction will be changed: the Class 66 will take over the lead to continue on the non-electrified line towards Tüßling and Burghausen, in the Bavarian chemical triangle area. The service is part of the south-east Bavarian waste rail transport system, destined for energy recovery at the ZAS plant in Burgkirchen an der Alz, near Altötting.
