E464 189 passing with some trouble, given the 20 minutes of delay accumulated between Messina Centrale and Sant'Alessio Siculo, at Fondaco Parrino with Intercity 721 from Rome Termini to Syracuse, for which it had been the leading locomotive from Naples Centrale.
