ÖBB 1142 Payerbach

One feature of the line in this section is that it is almost always possible to spot the track arriving at Payerbach, allowing you to know the consist of uphill trains 10-15 minutes in advance. Photographed here instead is a regional train from Wien to Payerbach, which does not climb the Semmering, with a 1142 at the rear and double-deck coaches.
