E464 114 Ortanova

Due to a line fault, traffic between Barletta and Foggia was blocked for a couple of hours, creating a build-up of trains that needed to clear the line as soon as possible. The E464 114, hauling a regional train from Bari Centrale to Foggia more than two hours late, was therefore sent from Barletta to Ortanova on the right-hand track, allowing a dynamic overtaking of a higher-category train. It does not happen often, especially in southern Italy!
