1 August 2015: Farewell to Centocelle-Giardinetti

On 3 August 2015 the section between Centocelle and Giardinetti of the former Roma-Fiuggi railway was closed to regular service, most probably for good. The line, previously limited to Pantano, then to Giardinetti, and now to Centocelle, ran partly alongside the new Metro C, and in its final stretch the urban railway performed an excellent service for local travel. Any further comment is superfluous; this album is my gift to this likeable railway. All the shots are between Centocelle and Giardinetti, on the section recently closed to traffic.
