13 August 2024: Germany part 1, morning

The morning programme begins with the first spontaneous shots at Groß-Gerau, then a transfer to the Frankfurt–Mannheim line for photos at Nierstein, Alsheim and Bechtheim of the many ICEs and varied regional trains, and a double shot of a freight train with a Vectron. Traffic on the line was disrupted by a long single-track section, but DB handled it perfectly. Then the urge for freight prevailed, and I remembered a nearby location that is one of the must-visit spots for train enthusiasts... (continued in part 2)
