17 December 2022: Reopening of the Noto-Pachino

17 December 2022 was a historic date for railways in Sicily: after years and years of discussion, the very first kilometres of the Ferrovia del Vino Noto-Pachino were reopened, in the hope that they will be the first of a long series of reopenings up to the line's terminus at Pachino. As a prequel, an ICN at Augusta, and some ordinary regional trains in between.
