Circumetnea Railway photos

The Circumetnea is a narrow-gauge railway linking Catania with Riposto on a route that follows the slopes of Mount Etna.
111 kilometres long, with 950 mm gauge track, it is operated in two separate sections, from Riposto to Randazzo and from Randazzo to Catania Borgo. The network is completed by the metro section, standard gauge and electrified, which runs entirely within the city of Catania between the Nesima and Stesicoro stops.
