20 June 2026 Morning on the Munich-Rosenheim line.
The first part of a very productive day on the Munich-Rosenheim line, spent entirely between Großkarolinenfeld, Tutenhausen, the Vogl level crossing on the west side, Großkarolinenfeld again, the classic photo spot at the Vogl level crossing on the east side once more, and an initial session at Ostermünchen station. Freight traffic was remarkable for a Saturday at the start of summer, with the freight trains at one point seeming to run to a regular timetable. And this is only the morning and early afternoon, but I have already photographed 24 freight trains.
