A photographic day in south-eastern Bavaria, between Tüßling, Heiligenstatt, Altötting, Mühldorf and Stammham, along the lines of the Bavarian Chemical Triangle. On 18 June 2026, freight traffic provides numerous trains with DB Cargo Class 66 and Class 77 diesel locomotives, along with Vectrons of Rail Cargo Group and Northrail. Highlights include a heavy GATX tank wagon train bound for Burghausen, with a Class 77 leading and 077 004 pushing, and the intermodal service from Burghausen hauled by 077 017. The day continues with DB regional traffic and, above all, with EuroCity trains between Germany and Austria diverted onto the non-electrified line via Mühldorf: the ÖBB 2016 "Hercules" diesel locomotives offer the unusual opportunity to photograph international EuroCity consists hauled by diesel traction. A day rich in rail traffic, from freight and regional trains to EuroCitys, in the heart of Bavaria.
