A photo day in south-eastern Bavaria, around Tüßling, Heiligenstatt, Altötting, Mühldorf and Stammham, along the lines of the Bavarian Chemiedreieck. On 18 June 2026 freight traffic brings numerous trains hauled by DB Cargo Class 66 and Class 77 diesel locomotives, along with Vectron locomotives of Rail Cargo Group and Northrail. Highlights include a heavy train of GATX tank wagons bound for Burghausen, with a Class 77 leading and 077 004 pushing at the rear, and the intermodal service from Burghausen hauled by 077 017. The day continues with DB regional traffic and, above all, with EuroCity trains between Germany and Austria diverted onto the non-electrified line via Mühldorf: the ÖBB 2016 "Hercules" diesel locomotives offer the unusual opportunity to photograph international EuroCity consists hauled by diesel traction. A day rich in rail traffic, from freight and regional trains to EuroCity services, in the heart of Bavaria.
